Some of our team attended the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) earlier this month in Las Vegas, which is one of the largest trade events in the country with more than 141k attendees from across the world and over 4,500 exhibitors, including 1,400 organizations classified as start-ups.
Here are some of the key themes from the event.

1. Product Standouts

  • Smart Glasses – at least ten debuts with displays, AI, translation, built-in hearing aids and voice responsiveness
  • Revolutionary PCs – from fan-less laptops to rollable and dual screen laptops and AI supercomputers
  • TVs – MiniLED, bright OLED, AI integrated and stretchable, see-thru, interactive screens
  • And more – A device that charges your phone in SECONDS, robot vaccums with arms, and so much more

2. Oddities

  • Headphones that clean your ears


  • More robots (always), some wearable

  • Radar sensors for AI bassinets

  • Cars that don’t slow for bumps

  • A Wi-Fi repeater to sell your Wi-Fi

3. Shoppable TV

  • TheTake, a startup focused on the intersection between AI and TV, partnered with LG and media networks to announce a new feature for LG's new webOS smart TVs at CES. The "click to search" feature allows users to select items on screen with the LG remote and shop products with LG's webOS Pay functionality.
  • TheTake also partnered with Samsung for new shoppable TV features including allowing viewers to shop for trending products in shows streamed through Samsung TVs
