Another Amazon Prime Day event has ended and we are excited to report that our full-service Amazon clients achieved nearly 6X the results vs. Adobe Analytics estimate of total Prime Day performance.The two-day event on July 16-17 drove record sales this year, with U.S. consumers spending $14.2 Billion, an 11% increase over last year.
In the current economic climate, consumers are increasingly price-conscious, making Prime Day's promise of significant savings particularly appealing. The 48-hour timeframe creates a sense of urgency, driving consumers to action. It can also be a great way to introduce shoppers to new brands. As eMarketer noted earlier this month, Amazon Prime Day has transformed the dog days of summer into prime time for deal hunting.
Nearly all of our Amazon clients that ran deals on Prime Day achieved double-digit growth. Looking at our strategic clients, many of which have been on Amazon for several years, nearly all of those brands grew more than 20% vs. last year, with multiple brands achieving over 100% growth. Our best performing categories were CPG, Beauty, and Health & Personal Care.
